Music Executive. Songwriter. Consultant. Speaker. Author. Faith-driven leader who has helped shape the sound of dozens of successful recording artists for more than two and a half decades.
For more than 25 years, Jason McArthur has been one of the most trusted architects in music — a record label executive, songwriter, and A&R consultant whose fingerprints are on dozens of the most significant songs, albums, and artist careers.
Currently serving as Vice President of Artists & Repertoire and Publishing at Red Street Records on Nashville's Music Row, Jason brings to the role the institutional knowledge, artist instincts, and relational depth built over more than two decades in the industry.
Before joining Red Street, Jason spent 23 years at Sony Music Entertainment's Provident Entertainment, holding the title of Vice President of Artists & Repertoire. There he signed, developed, and oversaw the careers of some of the most successful and influential artists in faith-based music — including Casting Crowns, Tauren Wells, KB, RED, Michael W. Smith, Joy Williams, Natalie Grant, Brian Littrell (of Backstreet Boys), Rebecca St. James, Royal Tailor, Leeland, and Branan Murphy, among many others.
Under his stewardship, those projects worldwide sold or streamed more than 25 million album-equivalent units, with numerous platinum, multi-platinum, and gold-certified albums and singles. Jason has a demonstrated gift for seeing what an artist could become — and the patience and tenacity to help them get there.
Jason also is an award-winning songwriter (ASCAP) with three Dove Awards and an extensive songwriting catalog spanning multiple genres and artists, from the alt-rock arena of RED to the pop worship of Casting Crowns to the early Christian pop of Joy Williams, Natalie Grant and Brian Littrell (of Backstreet Boys).
