Casting Crowns is a seven-member band from the Atlanta area comprised of Mark Hall (lead vocals, primary songwriter), Juan DeVevo (guitars), Melodee DeVevo (vocals, violin), Megan Garrett (vocals, piano), Chris Huffman (bass), Josh Mix (guitars) and Brian Scoggin (drums). Casting Crowns is one the best-selling acts in Christian Music since 2007 according to Billboard, achieving multiple sales milestones, selling more than 12 Million units to date, including one RIAA 2x multi-Platinum album, four RIAA Platinum albums, two RIAA Platinum DVDs, seven RIAA Gold albums, two Gold DVDs, five RIAA Platinum certified digital singles. The group also has been honored with four American Music Awards (out of seven total nominations), a GRAMMY Award for its 2005 album Lifesong, and has received six GRAMMY nominations, multiple GMA Dove Awards, K-Love Fan Awards, and Billboard Music Awards. Remarkably, all seven band members remain active in student ministry in their local churches within the Atlanta area, working their intensive tour schedule around their church commitments. Serving nearly two decades in youth ministry, lead singer/songwriter Mark Hall maintains his role as the student pastor at Eagle’s Landing First Baptist Church in McDonough, GA.
