About Jason McArthur

Jason McArthur has been in the center of the Christian music industry for more than two decades, signing, developing, and helping guide the careers of some of the most successful, dynamic and influential artists in the genre. As Vice President of A&R for Sony Music Entertainment’s Christian label division Provident Label Group, Jason has worked with many Grammy- and Dove-Award winning artists including Casting Crowns, Michael W. Smith, alt-rock band RED, Joy Williams (formerly of The Civil Wars), Brian Littrell (of Backstreet Boys), Rebecca St. James, Tauren Wells, Royal Tailor, Leeland and NewSong. His projects collectively have sold nearly 20 million albums worldwide. Additionally, Jason is an award-winning pop and rock songwriter for Sony’s Essential Music Publishing and has written multiple Top 10 radio hits. He has several Grammy and Dove nominations, and has taken home two Dove Awards as a songwriter.

Jason received his Bachelor’s Degree in Applied Mathematics (Emphasis in Economics) from the University of California at Berkeley in 1992, and his Master’s Degree in Journalism and Mass Communication from Abilene Christian University in 1996.
